Man Crazy happy for the guys that’s what they’ve worked for. The media gave them a 2% chance of winning the championship and they took advantage of that. - 2022-08-22T144025.126

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland was in Virginia Beach last week and caught up with Top 100 2024 offensive lineman Cam’Ron Warren, who is this week’s Recruit of the Week, a new segment on our YouTube channel, which you can subscribe to for free.

Warren transferred from national powerhouse Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances, where he played for current Michigan staffer Biff Poggi, to Chesapeake (Va.) Western Branch this offseason. Warren is a close friend of Michigan EDGE Derrick Moore and is ascending as a top target for the Wolverines next cycle.

Here is a breakdown of Warren and where the Wolverines stand early on his recruiting process.

Warren is ranked as the No. 6 offensive tackle in the country and loved what U-M did with its offensive line last year. However, his future may be on the defensive side of the ball.

“What they did with the offensive line last year impresses me a lot,” Warren said. “But at the same time, they might want me to switch to defensive tackle. I was a defensive tackle before I went to St.  Frances. I actually prefer to be a defensive tackle.”

Warren is looking to make his first trip to Ann Arbor at some point this fall and is looking forward to experiencing a game day atmosphere in The Big House.
