The Wolverine’s EJ Holland discussed several Michigan recruiting topics on the Wednesday edition of The Wolverine Live recruiting show, including the latest on On300 Olney (Md.) Good Counsel linebacker Aaron Chiles.
Watch and listen to Holland share the latest on U-M recruiting below.
Chiles is set to make an official visit to Michigan on June 23. He will also make official visits to Florida and Maryland before announcing his decision in late June or early July.
Here is what Holland had to say about his recruitment.
“Michigan is the heavy leader on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine,” Holland said. “I was the first reporter on any network to put in a prediction for Chiles, and I still feel very confident after spending some time with him this weekend. He is down to Michigan, Florida and Maryland. Maryland and Florida will receive his first two official visits next month. Michigan will get him last on the 23rd. I think the Wolverines can seal the deal on that OV.”
At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Chiles is ranked as the No. 8 linebacker and No. 103 overall prospect nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 2 overall recruit in the state of Maryland.

The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
