Wolverine TV: Will Michigan close with On300 WR Travis Johnson?
The Wolverine’s EJ Holland discussed several recruiting topics on the Tuesday edition of The Wolverine Live, including On300 Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith wide receiver and top Michigan target Travis Johnson.

Johnson Recruitment
Michigan extended an offer to Johnson last year and has made him a top priority at the wide receiver position.
Johnson made his first trip to Michigan in September, returned for another visit this winter and was back on campus for a spring practice.
Johnson then made his official visit on June 13. The Wolverines began to trend on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine shortly after his stay in Ann Arbor.
Here is what Holland had to say about Johnson’s recruitment.
“Johnson definitely offers size at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds,” Holland said. “He can go up and get it, but he also bends well getting in and out of breaks and showed some explosiveness when I saw him. Michigan is a major player in his recruitment. I put in a prediction shortly after his official visit and feel confident the Wolverines can seal the deal. Johnson is set to make his decision on July 4.”

Johnson is also considering North Carolina, Penn State, South Carolina and others.
At 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, Johnson is ranked as the No. 15 wide receiver and No. 137 overall prospect nationally, per On3. He is also ranked as the No. 3 overall recruit in the state of Virginia for this cycle.
