The Wolverine’s EJ Holland discussed several Michigan recruiting topics on the Wednesday edition of The Wolverine Live recruiting show.

Watch and listen to Holland shares the latest on U-M recruiting below.

With the dead period over with, recruits can once again make unofficial visits. Michigan is expected to host several top targets this weekend, including Top 100 Charlotte (N.C) Providence Day quarterback Jadyn Davis.

Davis is the clear-cut No. 1 option at quarterback for the Wolverines this cycle. Expect both head coach Jim Harbaugh and new quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell to push hard for a commitment during his time on campus.

“Yes, Jadyn Davis is on commit watch,” Holland said. “But he’s been on commit watch before. It’s certainly a possibility that he commits or sets a date… if Michigan goes without getting a public commitment on the spot, as long as Jadyn Davis sets a commitment date in the days after the visit, it’s gravy from there. If he doesn’t, Campbell has made backup plans and has a board ready to roll. I think you will see the board expanded if they don’t feel Davis is going to make a decision soon after.

“I think that’s the right direction to go in. I think that’s the direction they should have gone in the first time he delayed. You can cut him a break and say Jim Harbaugh flirted with the NFL and Matt Weiss left or whatever. But now is the time. There are no more excuses. Jim Harbaugh is staying at Michigan. Kirk Campbell is the quarterbacks coach. There is nothing at Michigan that you can see that you haven’t already seen. It’s time to either close or it’s time to expand the board.”
