Eli Brooks, Indiana Pacers

The former Michigan guard went undrafted in June, before being picked up by the Indiana Pacers on an Exhibit 10 deal. An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary NBA contract.

The contract gives the Pacers the flexibility to convert it into a two-way deal, but the team has to ensure that it happens before the commencement of the regular season. The Pacers hold his G League rights for the time being.

Chaundee Brown Jr., Atlanta Hawks

Brown appeared in five games as a rookie last season — two with the Los Angeles Lakers and three with the Atlanta Hawks. Brown remains on the Hawks for the Summer League, and is looking to prove himself even further. The former Michigan guard was on the team’s NBA roster during the postseason last year, though he didn’t see game action.

Moussa Diabate, Los Angeles Clippers

Diabate was the No. 43 overall pick in this summer’s NBA Draft, with the Los Angeles Clippers giving him a shot. The forward left Michigan early after one season and will develop in the NBA. Many believe he’ll spend most of his time in the G League as a rookie, but these summer games give him an opportunity to impress and potentially earn time in L.A.

Caleb Houstan and Zavier Simpson, Orlando Magic

Houstan was Michigan’s other one-and-done prospect, and he was chosen No. 32 overall, early second round, by the Orlando Magic. The wing didn’t participate in the NBA Combine, so this is the first time he’ll go against other NBA-caliber players since last season in Ann Arbor.

Simpson, on the other hand, spent his second professional season with the Oklahoma City Thunder and their G League affiliate, the Blue, last year. He averaged 32.4 minutes per game in 35 appearances, posting 14.5 points, 6.8 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals per outing in the G League. At the end of the NBA season, he was called up, made his NBA debut and played in four contests. The former Michigan standout is looking to keep that momentum going this summer.

He appeared in 19 contests with five stats for the Detroit Pistons in 2021-22, averaging 6.4 points, three rebounds and 1.1 assists per tilt. The former Michigan wing shot 42.2 percent from three-point land. He appears to have a role for the organization going forward, and continuing to build chemistry with star guard Cade Cunningham and others this summer will be key.
