2026 tight end Adam Land discusses recent Mississippi State offer and visit
Last month saw 2026 tight end prospect Adam Land collect his first Power 4 offer on the recruiting trail and it came from Mississippi State. Then a few days after that offer, the Mosley (Fla.) High School product got his first in-person look at the Bulldogs’ program.
Land and several family members made the trip to Starkville in late October for State’s home matchup with Texas A&M. He noted of that experience and was impressed with the atmosphere at Davis Wade Stadium.
“It was a great visit,” Land remarked. “It was a great environment and I really enjoyed it a lot. The atmosphere was great and obviously, the cowbells were awesome.”
Naturally, Land spent most of his game observations on the offensive side of the ball. He liked what he saw from Jeff Lebby’s offense and their ability to move the chains.
“The offense moved the ball in the first half,” added the 6-foot-3 and 210-pound Land. “They really looked good at times on offense and were able to move the ball up and down the field. It was a back and forth game and was really good to see.”
Land received his Mississippi State offer from tight ends coach Jon Cooper and he’s been in regular contact with Cooper during this season.
“It was good to see Coach Cooper,” recalled Land. “We have a good team this year so we talked about that. We also talked about their future there and what they thought about me and their program.”

Regarding his own season, Land and his Mosley teammates have already clinched the district’s top seed heading into the postseason. They also own a 9-1 record and the offense has had a lot to do with that success, which includes one of State’s 2025 commitments.
“We’ve got a really good group of guys on our team,” mentioned Land. “We have Lo’Kavion (Jackson) and some really good players. We have pretty much been unstoppable so far. At tight end, I’m having a really good season, especially with my blocking. I worked a lot on my blocking before this year and it’s going well in that area.”
With his first Power 4 offer now on the table, Land is also hearing from other Power 4 programs. So far he is enjoying the increased attention he’s collected this season and is hoping to visit other schools in the future.
“Mississippi State was my first big offer,” Land said. “I am also hearing from East Carolina, Florida State, UCF, Louisville and some other schools. So recruiting has started to be good. I am not sure where else I will visit this season and I am trying to plan those things out.”
