Mississippi State adds 2026 cornerback Camron Brown to commitment list

On Saturday, Mississippi State held its final junior day event before the arrival of the dead period and it was quite a success. The Bulldogs ended up collecting a pair of new 2026 commitments on Saturday, including 2026 cornerback prospect Camron Brown of Valdosta (Ga.) High School.
Earlier in the day, the Bulldogs also added a 2026 commitment in On3 three-star offensive lineman Jakobe Green of Niceville (Fla.) High School. Brown and Green became the fifth and sixth commitments in Mississippi State’s Class of 2026.
The 6-foot-1 and 170-pound Brown also holds offers from Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, UCF, Maryland and Memphis among others. Earlier this week, Mississippi State head coach Jeff Lebby and defensive coordinator Coleman Hutzler visited with Brown at Valdosta (Ga.) High School before he made the trip to Starkville on Saturday for junior day.

This past season, Brown helped lead Valdosta High School to a 9-3 record and in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs. As a junior, Brown totaled 30 tackles, two PBUs, five tackles for loss and two quarterback hurries.
With his decision, Brown becomes the first cornerback commitment in Mississippi State’s Class of 2026. He is the second defensive back to commit to the Bulldogs in the class, joining safety prospect Iverson McCoy of Tupelo High School.
