Back during the summer camp scene, 2025 tight end prospect Emeka lloh collected an offer from Mississippi State. That moment stuck with the Coahoma Community College product and on Sunday, he committed to Mississippi State.

lloh announced his college decision via social media and was quite excited about his future with the Bulldogs. He also held an offer from UTSA along with attracting other SEC interest. He has already graduated from Coahoma and will enroll in January. lloh is rated as the nation’s No. 3 juco tight end per On3 rankings.

“I went on some visits in the fall and that included Mississippi State,” explained lloh. “I had a couple of other SEC schools like Alabama reach out, as well. But from the start I felt like Mississippi State was home. Ever since my first encounter there and dealing with Coach Jon Cooper, I’ve been looking forward to this moment.”

Like most college players, lloh has a goal of reaching the highest level of the sport. And he believes Mississippi State can help him reach that goal.

“Ever since I first visited them, I felt like this was the place I needed to be to get to where I need to be,” lloh mentioned. “My goal in the future is to do big things in this sport and I feel like Mississippi State will make me the player I need to be at the end of the day.”

As noted, one of the main factors behind lloh’s decision was his relationship with Cooper. At summer camp he got a good view of what it will be like working under Cooper’s watch.

“When I went to camp there, having Coach Cooper coach me was great,” lloh added. “I saw then how hard he is going to be on me and how he will push me. That also factored into my decision.”

While lloh is relatively new to the tight end position, he mostly played defensive end early in his juco career. But he has several attributes that could make him a consistent weapon on the offensive side of the ball.

“What I bring to the passing game at 6-9 and 250 pounds is my catch radius and my catch radius is crazy,” remarked lloh, a Atlanta, Ga, native. “I ran a 4.7 forty at their camp, too. Then I know they will develop me more and help me add strength and speed. I just got to keep working and keep my head on the right path.”

With two years of remaining eligibility, lloh is ready to hit the ground running in January when he arrives in Starkville.

“I will be there in January and I can’t wait,” lloh noted. “I went over there for a few practices this season and I’m ready to get into that. I never took an official visit there because I already knew where I wanted to go.”
