East Mississippi LB Marcus Ross; season stats: 77 tackles (37 solos), seven tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one fumble forced, one fumble recovery and one PBU. East Mississippi DB Brylan Lanier; season stats: 60 tackles (42 solos), 17.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, four PBUs, two fumbles forced and one interception.
Copiah-Lincoln Community College (10-2) advanced to MACJC semifinals and won Heart of Texas Bowl game – Copiah-Lincoln running back Johnnie Daniels; season stats: 183 rushes for 1,253 yards and 15 touchdowns, 23 receptions for 209 yards and two touchdowns.
Starkville High School (10-4) advanced to Class 7A state championship game – Starkville WR/DB Braylon Burnside; season stats: 62 catches for 1,085 yards and 16 touchdowns, eight rushes for 34 yards and one touchdown. On defense, 46 tackles (20 solos), six tackles for loss, two PBUs and one forced fumble. Also, eight punt returns for 137 yards and one blocked field goal.
Winona High School (14-0) won the Class 3A state championship – Winona OL TJ Lockhart. Winona LB Fred Clark; season stats: 68 tackles (31 solos), 11 tackles for loss, three sacks, one fumble caused, two PBUs, four quarterback hurries, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown).
Hinds Community College (3-5) no postseason – Hinds linebacker Branden Jennings; season stats: 58 tackles (42 solos), 5.5 tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery.
Lausanne (Tenn.) Collegiate (9-2) advanced to second round of Division 2-AA playoffs – Lausanne OL/DL Luke Work; season stats: 20 tackles (14 solos), two sacks, two tackles for loss and one forced fumble. Also 1 of 1 passing for 51 yards and one touchdown.
North Panola High School (6-6) advanced to second round of Class 3A playoffs – North Panola WR JJ Harrell; season stats: 18 of 21 passing for 578 yards and nine touchdowns, 42 rushes for 577 yards and nine touchdowns, 31 catches for 521 yards and 15 touchdowns.
McAdory (Ala.) High School (6-5) advanced to first round of Class 6A playoffs – McAdory tight end JaCorey Whitted; season stats: 33 catches for 715 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Also six kickoff returns for 308 yards and two touchdowns.
Holmes County Central High School (11-1) advanced to second round of Class 5A playoffs – Holmes County Central DL Terrance Hibbler; season stats: 96 tackles (57 solos), 30 tackles for loss, 23 sacks, two forced fumbles and nine quarterback hurries.
St. Frances (Md.) Academy (6-5) – St. Frances QB Michael Van Buren; season stats: 973 yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions, 11 rushes for 102 yards and one touchdown.
Katy (Texas) Taylor High School (6-5) advanced to first round of Class 6A playoffs – Katy DB Cyrus Reyes; season stats: 91 tackles (60 solos), two tackles for loss, three interceptions, four PBUs and two fumbles forced.
Clay-Chalkville (Ala.) High School (14-0) won Class 6A state championship – Clay-Chalkville WR Mario Craver; season stats: 57 catches for 1,097 yards and 14 touchdowns, five kickoff returns for 179 yards and one touchdown.

Hooks (Texas) High School (11-1) advanced to second round of Class 3A playoffs – Hooks DB/WR Jatavious Johnson; season stats: 80 tackles (37 solos), five tackles for loss, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and two fumbles forced.
