WEEK 12 Mississippi State 2024 Commitments

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at East Mississippi Community College (7-2) on Saturday in first round of MACJC playoffs – East Mississippi DB Tyler Woodard had five tackles (two solos), one interception and one PBU; season stats: 37 tackles (23 solos), five PBUs, one interception and 2.5 tackles for loss. East Mississippi DL Ashun Shepphard had two tackles (one solo); season stats: 23 tackles (12 solos), 5.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and one quarterback hurry.

Davidson (Tenn.) Academy 36, Lausanne (Tenn.) Collegiate (9-2) 35 in second round of Division 2-AA playoffs – Lausanne OL/DL Luke Work; season stats: 20 tackles (14 solos), two sacks, two tackles for loss and one forced fumble. Also 1 of 1 passing for 51 yards and one touchdown.

Germantown (Tenn.) High School (12-0) 35, Bartlett (Tenn.) High School 16 in second round of the Class 6A playoffs – Germantown OL Kison Shepard.

Winona High School 49, North Panola High School (6-6) 20 in second round of Class 3A playoffs – North Panola WR JJ Harrell (stats to be updated later); season stats: 18 of 21 passing for 578 yards and nine touchdowns, 42 rushes for 577 yards and nine touchdowns, 31 catches for 521 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Brookhaven High School (7-4) 55, Van Cleave High School 7 in first round of Class 5A playoffs – Brookhaven RB/DB Xavier Gayten had 16 carries for 250 yards and four touchdowns; season stats: 196 carries for 1,858 yards and 23 touchdowns, nine catches for 38 yards and 1 of 1 passing for 27 yards and one touchdown. Also six kickoff returns for 308 yards and two touchdowns.

Holmes County Central High School (11-0) 34, Corinth High School 21 in first round of Class 5A playoffs – Holmes County Central DL Terrance Hibbler had 7 tackles (four solos), two sacks and two tackles for loss; season stats: 86 tackles (53 solos), 28 tackles for loss, 23 sacks, two forced fumbles and nine quarterback hurries.

Auburn (Ala.) High School 27, Baker (Ala.) High School (8-3) 17 in first round of Class 7A playoffs – Baker QB Josh Flowers was 10 of 16 passing for 174 yards with one touchdown and one interception, nine rushes for 125 yards and one touchdown; season stats: 134 of 198 passing for 2,126 yards with 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions, 159 rushes for 1,435 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Winona High School (12-0) 49, North Panola High School 20 in second round of Class 3A playoffs – Winona OL TJ Lockhart. Winona LB Fred Clark had two tackles; season stats: 50 tackles (23 solos), 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, one fumble caused, two interceptions and one fumble recovery.

Grenada High School 37, Vicksburg High School (7-4) 8 in first round of Class 5A playoffs – Vicksburg DE Tyler Carter had eight tackles (four solos), one tackle for loss, one sack and one PBU; season stats: 72 tackles (43 solos), 11 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown, one quarterback hurry and four PBUs.

Headland (Ala.) High School (9-2) 30, Holtville (Ala.) High School 20 in first round of Class 5A playoffs – Headland LB Caleb Dozier had 20 tackles (12 solos), two tackles for loss, two sacks and one fumble recovery returned 79 yards for a touchdown, on offense had five catches for 75 yards and one touchdown; season stats: 114 tackles (57 solos), 11 sacks, 29 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, one PBU and four fumble recoveries (two returned for touchdowns). On offense, 41 catches for 694 yards and eight touchdowns, 13 carries for 135 yards and two touchdowns.

Saraland (Ala.) High School 54, McAdory (Ala.) High School (6-5) 14 in first round of Class 6A playoffs – McAdory tight end JaCorey Whitted had three catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns; season stats: 33 catches for 715 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Hinds Community College (3-5) no postseason – Hinds linebacker Branden Jennings; season stats: 58 tackles (42 solos), 5.5 tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery.

Mississippi State 2025 Commitments

Noxubee County High School (8-4) 49, St. Stanislaus High School 14 in second round of the Class 3A playoffs – Noxubee County quarterback Kamario Taylor was 12 of 22 passing for 214 yards with two touchdowns, 13 rushes for 167 yards and four touchdowns; season stats: 165 of 271 passing for 2,875 yards with 36 touchdowns and five interceptions, 72 carries for 706 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Madison (Ala.) Academy (11-0) 57, Hokes Bluff (Ala.) School 20 in first round of Class 3A playoffs – Madison Academy linebacker AJ Rice had seven tackles (five solos) and two tackles for loss; season stats: 78 tackles (47 solos), 15.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries returned for touchdowns.
