Another Major League Baseball regular season has come to an end, and it was one to remember for several former Mississippi State players.

State finished the year with 11 players in the MLB this year with a few dealing with season-ending injuries, but the ones available put together great seasons. J.T. Ginn and Justin Foscue were added to the mix this season as both took in their Rookie years after being teammates on the Bulldogs’ 2019 College World Series team.

Brent Rooker had the best season of his MLB career this season as he put together career highs across the board with a .293 average, 160 hits, 82 runs, 26 doubles, 39 home runs and 112 RBI.

The same could be said for Jordan Westburg as he finished his second year with the Baltimore Orioles by batting .264 with 110 hits, 26 doubles, five triples, 18 home runs and 63 RBI – all new career highs.

Ginn was able to make his impact with the Oakland A’s as the former State pitcher came through with his first win of his career last week. Ginn closed out his season by making history as the winning pitcher in the final game inside the Oakland Coliseum and Ginn gave up just two runs in 5.1 innings.

Nate Lowe finished out his season strong with five hits in the last two games including two doubles and two home runs. Lowe finished with his fourth-straight season of 125 hits or more.

Additionally, Kansas City standouts Hunter Renfroe, Chris Stratton and Adam Frazier will finish out their season in the playoffs as they start things off this week with Westburg and the Orioles in the Wild Card round.
