Diamond Dawgs in the Show Update: May 6

It’s baseball season yet again.
The Major League Baseball season is underway and several former Mississippi State players are doing their thing on baseball’s biggest stage. That includes former State standout Jake Mangum who made his debut with Tampa Bay this year and he has made a major impact.
The State legend is one of 10 former Bulldogs that are active in the league with several more likely in and out this year. A few players made moves in the offseason like Nathaniel Lowe going to Washington and Adam Frazier making his return to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Jordan Westburg is back looking to build on his breakthrough season with the Baltimore Orioles while Brent Rooker is hoping to continue his great run with Oakland. State also has veteran arms Kendall Graveman, Brandon Woodruff and JP France working back recovering from injuries last season.
Last week, Lowe had seven hits and notched 700 for his career. Rooker also had seven hits with three multi-hit games and hit two more home runs to take his total to nine on the year.
