Former Mississippi State greats set for Conference Championship Sunday in the NFL
Two Mississippi State players will have a chance to play in the biggest football game in sports with wins this weekend.
Conference Championship games are on the way on Sunday with Darius Slay and the Philadelphia Eagles and Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs representing the Bulldogs. The two have been regular visitors to the Conference Championship round with Slay making his second visit to the game in the last three seasons and Jones is playing in his unprecedented seventh-straight Championship round.
Slay and the Eagles go up against a surprise Washington Commanders team on Sunday afternoon for a 2 p.m. NFC Championship matchup on Fox. The Eagles have gotten to the Championship round with a 22-10 win over Green Bay and 28-22 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
Against the Packers, Slay had a big interception and added a pass deflection. He came through with six tackles and three deflections last week against the Rams.
