Mississippi State’s offseason attrition on the basketball court continued on Monday with another entry into the transfer portal. Per On3 reports, Mississippi State sophomore center Jeremy Foumena is the latest Bulldog to enter the transfer portal.

The 6-foot-11 and 250-pound Foumena becomes the fifth Mississippi State player to enter the transfer portal. He joins the likes of junior point guard Kanye Clary, sophomore guard Martavious Russell, redshirt freshman wing Adrian Myers and sophomore center Michael Nwoko, who all entered the transfer portal last week.

Foumena, a Montreal, Canada, native, played limited minutes for head coach Chris Jans and his staff during the 2024-25 season. Foumena played in nine games this past season and averaged 2.9 minutes a game. His lone appearances in SEC action came in Mississippi State’s blowout win over LSU in the SEC Tournament and also in a rout of South Carolina in the SEC opener.

During the season, Foumena combined for 10 points, five rebounds and two blocks shots. He made 3 of 9 from the floor, 1 of 6 from 3 point range and 3 of 4 at the foul line.

Foumena began his college career at Rhode Island and spent the 2023-24 season with the Rams. During that season, Foumena saw action in 28 games and averaged 12.9 minutes a game. Foumena averaged 5.3 points and 3.5 rebounds at Rhode Island and shot 52.5% from the field.
