Welcome to Maroon and White Daily and for others, welcome to the On3 network. Today begins a new chapter for me and I couldn’t be more excited and eager to get started.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 12 years at 247Sports and I owe that beginning to On3 owner Shannon Terry. So when this opportunity presented itself and I had the chance to join Shannon and many other friends at On3, my decision was easy. So now it is time to continue our coverage of Mississippi State athletics on the On3 platform and we hope you enjoy the ride and tell others of Maroon and White Daily.

I am also joined by Tanner Marlar, who has plenty of experience covering State athletics as the former editor of The Reflector. Marlar is also eager to get started with his new adventure and I hope y’all make him feel at home. And further down the road, we will have more help joining us once the SEC basketball schedule heats up at Humphrey Coliseum.

I have spent over 25 years covering State athletics and recruiting. And with loyal Bulldog fans, we all know of the roller coaster it brings each year. But we will be here to cover the peaks and the valleys all along the way and bring you updated and accurate information.

For those who have followed me in the past, your support is greatly appreciated and Maroon and White Daily will be nothing without you and your participation. We welcome all opinions on our message boards and we love debates and discussion about Bulldog sports.

We’re in the middle of football season and of course, recruiting never stops. We are also nearing the November signing period for men’s and women’s basketball, and the Diamond Dogs are headed down the home stretch of fall baseball. We’re also getting close to the start of basketball season and Maroon and White Daily will have all fronts covered among other State sports.

So it is a great honor for me and Marlar to debut Maroon and White Daily today. My goal today is the same I’ve had in previous years and that is to give you your money’s worth each and every day. Welcome home!
