Mississippi State’s roster for the 2025-26 season continues to change this week with another Bulldog entering the transfer portal. On Thursday, On3’s Joe Tipton reported that Mississippi State sophomore center Michael Nwoko has entered the transfer portal.

Earlier this week, junior point guard Kanye Clary became the first Bulldog to enter the transfer portal. Clary missed most of the regular season with a reported injury and played in o only seven games in the 2024-25 season.

With Nwoko on the move, sources also expect more attrition from the center position on Mississippi State’s roster.

The 6-foot-10 and 245-pound Nwoko began his college career at Miami in the 2023-24 campaign where he played limited minutes with 29 games played and one start. As a freshman at Miami, the Toronto, Canada, native averaged 2.7 points and 2.2 rebounds a game in 8.8 minutes of action a game while shooting 55.9% from the field.

This past season at Mississippi State, Nwoko saw his minutes almost double from last year. Nwoko played in 34 games with 32 starts and averaged 15.4 minutes a game. Nwoko averaged 6.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.8 blocked shots a game for the Bulldogs. He also shot 52.5% from the floor and 60.9% at the free throw line.

Also per Tipton, Nwoko entered the transfer portal with a ‘do not contact’ tag.
