Mississippi State basketball announces home-and-home series with Memphis

The Mississippi State men’s basketball program unveiled the initial pieces of its 2024-25 non-conference slate as the Bulldogs will start a home-and-home series versus Memphis on Saturday, December 21st at FedEx Forum announced by both programs on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs and Tigers will meet over the next two seasons with a return game at Humphrey Coliseum in 2025-26 on a date to be determined. Tip time and television network assignment for this season’s matchup will be revealed at a later date.
Memphis has appeared in two of the last three NCAA Tournaments under seventh-year coach Penny Hardaway. The two programs have met 25 times on the hardwood with the Tigers holding a 14-11 advantage. The last meeting came during the 2021 NIT Finals, a 77-64 decision in favor of Memphis.
State will play host to Southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday, November 12th and Prairie View A&M on Sunday, December 8th at Humphrey Coliseum.

The Bulldogs also will return to Cadence Bank Arena in Tupelo for a second straight season as State will take on McNeese, a 2024 NCAA Tournament participant who is coming off a 30-4 mark and a Southland Conference title. The Tupelo game is scheduled for Saturday, December 14th with ticket information being released at a later time.
State is led by Chris Jans who has guided the Bulldogs to a pair of 21-win seasons and back-to-back NCAA Tournament trips.
