After a 1-0 showing last week on the hardwood, Mississippi State (17-6 overall, 5-5 in SEC) remained in the same spot in the latest Associated Press Top 25 rankings released on Monday.

The Bulldogs stayed at No. 22 for the second consecutive week as Mississippi State was one of nine SEC teams in the Associated Press Top 25.

In the USA Today Coaches Poll, Mississippi State remained just outside the Top 25 for the second straight week. The Bulldogs were the top team among others receiving votes at No. 26.

The SEC had the top 3 teams in the Associated Press Top 25 as Auburn maintained the top spot despite losing its first SEC game of the season on Saturday to Florida. Alabama was No. 2 while Florida was tied at No. 3 with Duke. Tennessee and Texas A&M are also ranked in the Top 10 at No. 5 and No. 8, respectively.

Other SEC teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 include Kentucky at No. 15, Ole Miss at No. 19 and Missouri at No. 21.

Mississippi State played just once last week and came away with a critical, 76-75, road win at Georgia last Saturday. The Bulldogs face another rugged week in the SEC this week, hosting No. 3 Florida on Tuesday at Humphrey Coliseum for a 6 p.m. tip-off before traveling to No. 19 Ole Miss on Saturday with a 5 p.m. tip-off.
