WEEK 10 Mississippi State 2024 Commitments

East Mississippi Community College (6-2) 31, Itawamba Community College 17 – East Mississippi DB Tyler Woodard had six tackles (two solos) and 0.5 tackle for loss; season stats: 28 tackles (17 solos), four PBUs and 2.5 tackles for loss. East Mississippi DL Ashun Shepphard had one tackle; season stats: 17 tackles (eight solos), three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College 41, Hinds Community College (3-5) 0 – Hinds linebacker Branden Jennings had five tackles (five solos); season stats: 52 tackles (36 solos), 5.5 tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery.

Lausanne (Tenn.) Collegiate (8-1) 44, University School of (Tenn.) Jackson 10 – Lausanne OL/DL Luke Work had two tackles (two solos); season stats: 15 tackles (13 solos), one sack, one tackle for loss and one forced fumble. Also 1 of 1 passing for 51 yards and one touchdown.

North Panola High School (5-5) 69, Holly Springs High School 34 – North Panola WR JJ Harrell was 9 of 14 passing for 230 yards with four touchdowns, five carries for 61 yards and one touchdown; season stats: 18 of 36 passing for 473 yards and six touchdowns, 42 rushes for 432 yards and nine touchdowns, 31 catches for 521 yards and three touchdowns.

Starkville High School (7-2) 39, Madison Central High School 7 – Starkville WR/DB Braylon Burnside had seven catches for 133 yards and one touchdown, one rush for nine yards and one touchdown. On defense had three tackles (three solos) and one tackle for loss; season stats: 47 catches for 774 yards and 11 touchdowns, six rushes for 29 yards and two touchdowns. On defense has 12 tackles (seven solos), one forced fumble and two tackles for loss. Also three punt returns for 46 yards.

Brookhaven High School (5-4) 13, North Pike High School 9 – Brookhaven RB/DB Xavier Gayten had 22 carries for 154 yards and one touchdown, one catch for 19 yards and two kickoff returns for 44 yards; season stats: 160 carries for 1,477 yards and 17 touchdowns, six catches for 40 yards and 1 of 1 passing for 27 yards and one touchdown. Also six kickoff returns for 308 yards and two touchdowns.

Holmes County Central High School (9-0) 29, Cleveland Central High School 28 – Holmes County Central DL Terrance Hibbler had six tackles (four solos), two tackles for loss, two sacks and four quarterback hurries; season stats: 68 tackles (43 solos), 24 tackles for loss, 19 sacks, two forced fumbles and nine quarterback hurries.

Baker (Ala.) High School (7-2) 21, Fairhope (Ala.) High School 16 – Baker QB Josh Flowers was 13 of 19 for 129 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, 13 carries for 144 yards and one touchdown; season stats: 111 of 163 passing for 1,765 yards with 17 touchdowns and six interceptions, 125 rushes for 1,072 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Winona High School (10-0) 48, Edwards High School 18 – Winona OL TJ Lockhart. Winona LB Fred Clark had one tackle (one solo) and one interception; season stats: 45 tackles (22 solos), 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, one fumble caused, one interception and one fumble recovery.

Vicksburg High School (6-3) 36, Columbus High School 24 – Vicksburg DE Tyler Carter had seven tackles (four solos), one tackle for loss, one sack and one PBU; season stats: 56 tackles (35 solos), 10 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one quarterback hurry and three PBUs.

Headland (Ala.) High School (7-2) 42, New Brockton (Ala.) High School 20 – Headland LB Caleb Dozier had eight tackles (four solos), three tackles for loss and two sacks. On offense had five catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns; season stats: 79 tackles (39 solos), eight sacks, 24 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, one PBU and three fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown). On offense, 31 catches for 514 yards and seven touchdowns, 10 carries for 75 yards.

Hillcrest (Ala.) High School 42, McAdory (Ala.) High School (5-4) 20 – McAdory tight end JaCorey Whitted had three catches for 51 yards; season stats: 30 catches for 577 yards and eight touchdowns.

Mississippi State 2025 Commitments

Noxubee County High School (6-4) 48, McLaurin High School 0 – Noxubee County quarterback Kamario Taylor was 7 of 9 passing for 134 yards and four touchdowns, one rush for 57 yards (only played first half); season stats: 137 of 227 passing for 2,411 yards with 32 touchdowns and five interceptions, 56 carries for 518 yards and seven touchdowns.

Madison (Ala.) Academy (9-0) 55, Susan Moore (Ala.) Academy 7 – Madison Academy linebacker AJ Rice (stats to be updated later); season stats: 58 tackles (30 solos), 12 tackles for loss, one sack, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries returned for touchdowns.
