Noxubee County High School (10-2) 45, Seminary High School 15 in third round of Class 3A playoffs – Noxubee County QB Kamario Taylor; season stats: 124 of 221 for 2,066 yards with 30 touchdowns and four interceptions, 97 rushes for 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Velma Jackson High School (11-1) 60, Taylorsville High School 18 in third round of Class 1A playoffs – Velma Jackson LB/RB Tyshun Willis; season stats: 60 tackles (45 solos), 40 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, four fumble recoveries (three returned for a touchdowns), two forced fumbles, one PBU and three quarterback hurries. Also returned a blocked punt for a touchdown. On offense, 44 rushes for 708 yards and eight touchdowns, 18 catches for 308 yards and five touchdowns. Also eight punt returns for 446 yards.

Also one kickoff return for 82 yards and a touchdown. Tupelo DB Iverson McCoy had seven tackles (five solos) and one kickoff return for 22 yards; season stats: 40 tackles (30 solos), seven PBUs, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and two interceptions. Also five punt returns for 197 yards and one touchdown, five kickoff returns for 121 yards.
