Week 9 Mississippi State 2024 Commits

East Mississippi Community College (5-2) 38, Northeast Mississippi Community College 31 – East Mississippi DB Tyler Woodard had five tackles (two solos) and one PBU; season stats: 22 tackles (15 solos), four PBUs and two tackles for loss. East Mississippi DL Ashun Shepphard had one tackle; season stats: 16 tackles (eight solos), three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

Lausanne (Tenn.) Collegiate (7-1) 27, Northport (Tenn.) Christian 21 – Lausanne OL/DL Luke Work; season stats: 13 tackles (11 solos), one sack, one tackle for loss and one forced fumble. Also 1 of 1 passing for 51 yards and one touchdown.

Germantown (Tenn.) High School (9-0) 38, Arlington (Tenn.) High School 0 – Germantown OL Kison Shepard.

IMG (Fla.) Academy (7-0) 53, Gray Collegiate (S.C.) Academy 7 – IMG Academy OL Jimothy Lewis.

North Panola High School (4-5) 46, Rosa Fort High School 6 – North Panola WR JJ Harrell tossed an 85-yard touchdown pass and has a seven-yard touchdown run (full stats to be updated later); season stats: 3 of 5 passing for 126 yards and two touchdowns, 37 rushes for 371 yards and eight touchdowns, 31 catches for 521 yards and three touchdowns.

Starkville High School (6-2) open date – Starkville WR/DB Braylon Burnside; season stats: 40 catches for 641 yards and 10 touchdowns, five rushes for 20 yards and one touchdown. On defense has seven tackles (three solos), one forced fumble and one tackle for loss. Also three punt returns for 46 yards.

Brookhaven High School (4-4) 33, South Jones High School 7 – Brookhaven RB/DB Xavier Gayten had seven carries for 205 yards and three touchdowns; season stats: 138 carries for 1,323 yards and 16 touchdowns, five catches for 21 yards and 1 of 1 passing for 27 yards and one touchdown. Also four kickoff returns for 264 yards and two touchdowns.

Holmes County Central High School (8-0) 42, Yazoo City High School 14 – Holmes County Central DL Terrance Hibbler had eight tackles (five solos), three tackles for loss and two sacks; season stats: 62 tackles (39 solos), 22 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, two forced fumbles and five quarterback hurries.

Baker (Ala.) High School (6-2) open date – Baker QB Josh Flowers; season stats: 98 of 144 passing for 1,636 yards with 15 touchdowns and five interceptions, 112 rushes for 928 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Winona High School (9-0) 38, Amanda Elzy High School 6 – Winona OL TJ Lockhart. Winona LB Fred Clark had six tackles (two solos) and two tackles for loss; season stats: 44 tackles (21 solos), 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, one fumble caused and one fumble recovery.

Vicksburg High School (5-3) 18, Callaway High School 16 – Vicksburg DE Tyler Carter had seven tackles (four solos), two tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks; season stats: 49 tackles (31 solos), nine tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one quarterback hurry and two PBUs.

Charles Henderson (Ala.) High School 35, Headland (Ala.) High School (6-2) 14 – Headland LB Caleb Dozier had eight tackles (two solos), one tackle for loss and one forced fumble. On offense had four rushes for 25 yards and five catches for 60 yards; season stats: 71 tackles (35 solos), six sacks, 21 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, one PBU and three fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown). On offense, 26 catches for 439 yards and five touchdowns, 10 carries for 75 yards.

McAdory (Ala.) High School (5-3) 42, Brookwood (Ala.) High School 6 – McAdory tight end JaCorey Whitted had five catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns; season stats: 27 catches for 526 yards and eight touchdowns.

2025 Commitments

Noxubee County High School (5-4) 46, Southeast Lauderdale High School 6 – Noxubee County quarterback Kamario Taylor was 9 of 11 passing for 185 yards with four touchdowns (only played one quarter); season stats: 130 of 218 passing for 2,277 yards with 28 touchdowns and five interceptions, 55 carries for 461 yards and seven touchdowns.

Madison (Ala.) Academy (8-0) 60, Brindlee Mountain (Ala.) Academy 0 – Madison Academy linebacker AJ Rice (stats to be updated later); season stats: 58 tackles (30 solos), 12 tackles for loss, one sack, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries returned for touchdowns.
