Buford (Ga.) High School 57, East Coweta (Ga.) High School (4-6) 9 in first round of Class 6A playoffs – East Coweta CB Derrion Horsley; season stats: 21 tackles (15 solos), two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), six PBUs, three tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one blocked field goal. On offense one catch for 10 yards and one touchdown, six kickoff returns for 138 yards and five punt returns for 41 yards.
Fleming Island (Fla.) High School 35, Mosley (Fla.) High School (9-2) 28 in first round of Class 5A playoffs – Mosley DB/RB Lo’Kavion Jackson; season stats: 48 carries for 651 yards and 17 touchdowns, eight catches for 98 yards. On defense, 57 tackles (39 solos), nine tackles for loss, four quarterback hurries, four sacks, five forced fumbles, two PBUs and two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown). Also two punt returns for 48 yards and two kickoff returns for 32 yards.

Noxubee County High School (9-2) 31, Jefferson Davis County High School 6 in second round of Class 3A playoffs – Noxubee County QB Kamario Taylor was 9 of 14 passing for 150 yards with four touchdown, two rushes for 33 yards; season stats: 116 of 205 for 1,916 yards with 29 touchdowns and four interceptions, 81 rushes for 858 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Velma Jackson High School (10-1) 42, West Tallahatchie High School 14 in second round of Class 1A playoffs – Velma Jackson LB/RB Tyshun Willis; season stats: 51 tackles (39 solos), 36 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, four fumble recoveries (three returned for a touchdowns), two forced fumbles, one PBU and three quarterback hurries. Also returned a blocked punt for a touchdown. On offense, 34 rushes for 520 yards and eight touchdowns, 17 catches for 306 yards and five touchdowns. Also eight punt returns for 446 yards.
Houston (Tenn.) High School 17, Bartlett (Tenn.) High School (7-4) 10 in second round of Class 6A playoffs – Bartlett RB Geron Johnson; season stats: 177 rushes for 1,439 yards and 18 touchdowns, four catches for 69 yards and three kickoff returns for 145 yards and a touchdown.
