With the final On3 rankings set for the class of 2025, the book as been closed on Jeff Lebby’s first group of recruits at Mississippi State.

The final On300 rankings were released on Thursday with the Bulldogs landing three players on the list from the high school class. That group and the rest of the signing class helped push the Bulldogs to No. 23 nationally in the final top 25 of the On3 Industry Ranking. The 89.193 score from the class is the highest for a State group in 10 years.

Headlining State’s class is Noxubee County quarterback KaMario Taylor. After leading his team to its third-straight Class 3A state championship game, Taylor finished the year with 2,752 passing yards with 39 touchdowns and six interceptions and he rushed for 1,190 more yards and 16 scores. He was named Mr. Football for 3A and enrolled early in Starkville this month.

Taylor finished just outside of five star status on Thursday as On3 has him 41st nationally, the No. 2 player in the state of Mississippi behind Auburn signee Deuce Knight and the No. 7 quarterback in the country. The network is the highest on Taylor with 247Sports the only other national network having him inside the top 100.

Also on the On300 list is Winona LB Tyler Lockhart. The early enrollee had a wild signing day as he flipped his commitment to Ole Miss and then would sign with the Bulldogs later that evening. He’s believed to be the No. 258 player nationally and is the seventh best player in the state by On3 while landing at No. 27 at his position. On3 has him ranked lower than 247, Rivals or ESPN.

The final On300 member is CB Kyle Johnson from Bunkie, La. A former Houston commitment, Johnson flipped to the Bulldogs on signing day after a big senior season. Johnson played both ways for Bunkie and set the single-season record for receiving touchdowns last season with 10 while also starring on the track.

Johnson finished the rankings out at No. 264 nationally by On3 and was the No. 26 corner in the country and No. 11 player in the state of Louisiana.

MSU also had four-star rankings from Velma Jackson LB Tyshun Willis as well as junior college safety Tony Mitchell. Of the 27 signees, 19 of them are currently enrolled for the spring semester. Another 24 have been brought in from the transfer portal as the Bulldogs have restructured a chunk of the roster. It was an impressive haul for the first-year head coach despite a 2-10 finish in year one.
