Mississippi State pulls off shocking signing day re-flip of four-star LB Tyler Lockhart
In one of the more shocking final day recruitments inside the state of Mississippi in recent history, Mississippi State has flipped four-star LB Tyler Lockhart back into the class.
Earlier on Wednesday, Lockhart announced his intentions to sign with Ole Miss after being committed to the Bulldogs back in September. He had that pledge until signing day when the Rebels convinced Lockhart to sign with them.
As the afternoon lingered the Bulldogs reentered the fold for Lockhart. Head coach Jeff Lebby and several State staffers sent out cryptic tweets that led to a school announcement that Lockhart was returning to the class.
It’s a massive recruiting win for a State team that needed one. The Bulldogs had flips of two of their top three defensive players with Lockhart and Zavion Hardy both flipping to SEC teams. The defensive lineman Hardy flipped his commitment to South Carolina.
