Mississippi State picked up their third consecutive win on Tuesday night, as they secured the victory over the ULM Warhawks 78-70.

The Bulldogs attacked the paint early in the contest, as 16 of their 20 first quarter points came from inside the paint. State finished the opening quarter shooting 58.8 percent, the highest quarter total of the game.

Over the course of the contest, the Bulldogs shot 53.6 percent from the floor, the fifth time the team has eclipsed the 50 percent mark, which includes three of the last four games. 44 of State’s 78 points came within the paint. However, behind the arc, State shot an even 40 percent, the fourth time they’ve shot that mark or better this season.

After entering the second half with a one-point lead, State jumped out to a 7-0 run and secured their largest lead of the contest of 12 points. From there, the Dawgs would never look back, earning the victory by eight.

On the offensive side of the ball, Jerkaila Jordan led the scoring for the Bulldogs. She finished with 23 points, which marked the fifth-consecutive game she has put up 20+ points and the sixth time this season. She is the first Bulldog to accomplish such since Anastasia Hayes did in the 2021-22 season.
