Inside the numbers: Mississippi State-Ole Miss first-half stats
Mississippi State and No. 12 Ole Miss have reached halftime at Davis Wade Stadium and the visiting Rebels hold a 3-0 lead.
The first half featured nine combined punts before either team got on the scoreboard. Ole Miss used a run-heavy drive midway through the second quarter to take the early 3-0 lead thanks to a Caden Costa 36 yard field goal with 8:23 remaining in the half.
Mississippi State did not enter Ole Miss territory until the final drive of the half. The Bulldogs marched 58 yards on 10 plays on that drive but freshman Kyle Ferrie missed a 42-yard field goal with 15 seconds left in the half.

Individually, Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart was 10 of 17 for 41 yards and rushed twice for 16 yards. Quinshon Judkins had nine rushes for 40 yard for the Rebels while Ulysses Bentley had seven carries for 40 yards.
For Mississippi State, quarterback Will Rogers was 13 of 21 passing for 93 yards. Zavion Thomas had three catches for 46 yards and also had two rushes for 15 yards.
Defensively, Ole Miss safety Daijahn Anthony had eight tackles while Bookie Watson had 12 stops for Mississippi State.
