Mississippi State's initial Availability Report released for Texas matchup
Ahead of Mississippi State’s Saturday showdown against Texas, the Bulldogs’ initial availability report is out.
Following his shoulder injury against Florida last Saturday, it was announced that quarterback Blake Shapen would be out of the season. Joining him on the list of players out for the contest against Texas are WR Creed Whittemore and Trent Hudson, S Tyler Woodard, RB Keyvone Lee and DT Kalvin Dinkins.
Whittemore and Hudson are new to the list of players on the list. Both Whittemore and Hudson have played in the first four games of the season with Whittemore catching four passes for 65 yards and rushing for a 41-yard touchdown. Hudson has yet to record a catch with the Bulldogs this year.
Lee is a big addition to the list and Lebby mentioned at Monday’s press conference that he is expected to miss several weeks. The Bulldogs’ starting back had 29 carries for 140 yards and a touchdown so far this season. He went out of Saturday’s loss against Florida and didn’t play for most of the second half.
Woodard missed the first half of last week’s game due to a targeting penalty that occurred against Toledo, but he’s now on the injured list. Dinkins has missed the last three ball games after being injured against Eastern Kentucky in the first game.
