Mississippi State opens SEC action this Saturday against Florida with a morning kickoff at Davis Wade Stadium. The Bulldogs have struggled, of late, with back-to-back losses to Arizona State and Toledo, and enter Saturday with a 1-2 mark.

Florida has also experienced difficulties in the early season and the Gators are also 1-2 overall. Florida lost to Miami in the season opener at home and opened SEC play last weekend with a home loss to Texas A&M.

Florida leads the all-time series with Mississippi State with a 34-19-2 record while the Bulldogs have won seven of the 12 meetings in Starkville. The last time these two teams met was in 2018 when former State head coach Dan Mullen brought his Florida squad to Starkville and left town with a 13-6 victory.
