Mississippi State closes out the 2024 season on Saturday with its annual Egg Bowl rivalry meeting with Ole Miss. For the first time in over a decade, the Bulldogs and Rebels are not playing on Thanksgiving night and will instead play on Friday afternoon.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 39-20 loss to Top 25 foe Missouri and Mississippi State enters the Egg Bowl with a 2-9 overall record and an 0-7 mark in the SEC. Ole Miss dropped a 24-17 decision at Florida last weekend and the No. 16 Rebels are 8-3 overall and 4-3 in the SEC.

Ole Miss leads the all-time series 6-6-6 and the Rebels captured last year’s meeting, 17-7, in Starkville. Ole Miss holds a 24-13-3 advantage in Egg Bowl matchups held in Oxford and the two rivals have split the last six meetings.

For those that can’t make the 2:30 p.m. (ct) kickoff at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Friday, here’s how you can watch and listen:
