Nation's No. 1 juco offensive tackle Saquon Miles signs with Mississippi State
It was a fight to the end but on Wednesday morning, 2025 offensive lineman Saquon Miles officially signed with Mississippi State. The nation’s No. 1 juco offensive tackle per On3 composite committed to the Bulldogs in late November and kept that commitment on signing day.
Miles also held offers from Ole Miss, Georgia, Auburn, Miami and Arkansas among others. He officially visited Ole Miss last weekend and there was a lot of buzz that Ole Miss would flip Miles on Wednesday.
“State is just different to me,” mentioned the 6-foot-6 and 300-pound Miles last week. “They just have that energy I like. One of their biggest issues right now is depth and they’re losing guys up front. So it’s time for me to come in and step up and take that spot.”
Miles was a regular visitor to Davis Wade Stadium this season and talked often of State’s atmosphere. And now he gets to play in front of those cowbells next season.

“I’ve been here for a couple of games this year already,” Miles recalled. “It was the same and the same good atmosphere. Same good coaches and same energy. It just feels like a family here and now I’m part of it.”
Over the course of the past couple of months, the Hinds Community College standout has grown close with head coach Jeff Lebby and offensive line coach Cody Kennedy. Both were factors in his Wednesday signing and Miles feels he can play either tackle spot on the line.
“Coach Lebby and Coach Kennedy showed me a lot of love,” Miles explained. “They made me feel at home and they showed my folks a lot of love, too. They want me at offensive tackle and it doesn’t matter if it is left or right. I can play both. They’re both good guys and I was around the other recruits.”
Miles is set to graduate in December and has three years to play two for State.
