SEC announces tip-off times and TV assignments for Mississippi State's 2024-25 basketball slate

On Thursday afternoon the SEC announced tip-off times and TV assignments for Mississippi State’s 2024-25 basketball schedule.

In January, the Bulldogs host South Carolina at 1 p.m. (SEC Network) on January 4th before traveling to Vanderbilt on January 7th for an 8 p.m. tip (ESPN2 or ESPNU). Other January tip-off times include Kentucky at 7:30 p.m. (SEC Network) on January 11th, at Auburn for a 6 p.m. tip (SEC Network) on January 14th, home against Ole Miss on January 18th (tip TBD and on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU), at Tennessee on January 21st with a 6 p.m. tip (ESPN2 or ESPNU), at South Carolina on January 25th for a noon tip (SEC Network) and home against Alabama on January 29th with an 8 p.m. tip (SEC Network).

In February, State hosts Missouri on February 1st for a noon tip (SEC Network) and then travel to Georgia on February 8th for a 5 p.m. tip (SEC Network). Other SEC February contests include at home against Florida on February 11th for a 6 p.m. tip (ESPN2 or ESPNU), at Ole Miss on February 15th for a 5 p.m. tip (ESPN2 or ESPNU), home against Texas A&M on February 18th for a 6 p.m. tip (SEC Network), at Oklahoma on February 22nd for a noon tip (SEC Network) and at Alabama on February 25th for an 8 p.m. tip (ESPN2 or ESPNU).

Then in March, the Bulldogs play host to LSU on March 1st for a 2:30 p.m. tip (SEC Network), host Texas on March 4th for a 7 p.m. tip (SEC Network) and State closes the regular season at Arkansas on March 8th for an 11 a.m. tip (SEC Network or ESPN).

Mississippi State is coming off a 21-14 season in which the Bulldogs reached the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season. The Bulldogs return sophomore guard and last year’s leading scorer Josh Hubbard, who averaged 17.1 points a game en route to earning All-SEC honors. Senior veteran Cameron Matthews is also back in the fold after leading the team in assists (102), steals (73) and blocked shots (26) last season along with averaging 9.4 points and 6.8 rebounds a game.

In the offseason, State also brought in several impact performers from the transfer portal. In the backcourt that includes point guard Kanye Clary (Penn State), guard Claudell Harris (Boston College), wing Riley Kugel (Florida) and wing RJ Melendez (Georgia). Mississippi State also added transfers Michael Nwoko (Miami) and Jeremy Foumena (Rhode Island) to the center position.

Mississippi State opens the 2024-25 season against West Georgia on November 4th at Humphrey Coliseum.
