2025 four-star center Tee Bartlett commits to Mississippi State
Mississippi State’s basketball program opened the November signing period with a bang. That momentum them carried over to Friday in a major way.
2025 center and On3 four-star prospect Tee Bartlett announced his Mississippi State commitment on Friday and did so over other offers from Villanova, Illinois, Miami, Xavier, Southern Cal, Providence and many others. The Los Angeles, Calif., native is rated as the nation’s No. 6 center and the state’s No. 7 prospect by On3. He’s also rated as the nation’s No. 51 overall prospect regardless of position by On3 rankings.
“I love that school, Starkville,” said the 6-foot-10 and 270-pound Bartlett. “Coach (Dave) Anwar checks in on me all the time. One thing about me is that I’m a loyal guy. If you show me love, I’m going to show that love back. I feel like Mississippi State has shown me the most love for sure.”
Bartlett played the two previous seasons with Coronado (Nevada) High School before transferring to Overtime (Ga.) Elite for his senior season. So far this season at Overtime Elite, Bartlett is averaging 14 points and 6.7 rebounds a game while shooting 85% from the floor after four games.
And over the past year, it’s been Mississippi State recruiting him the hardest. Bartlett officially visited the Bulldogs last month and got to gauge the staff’s interest in person.
“It’s always been good with Mississippi State and I talk to them almost every day,” said Bartlett to Maroon and White Daily recently. “I really enjoyed my visit there. And I love Coach Anwar and I’ve talked to Coach (Chris) Jans a lot of times, too. So they are always showing love to me and that’s why they were always one of my favorites, for sure.”

Another factor behind Bartlett’s decision was the style of play he prefers. And he feels like he will have that in Starkville with Jans and his staff.
“I want a coach that’s going to push me and let me play my game,” Bartlett noted. “I don’t want to just play on the block. When I talk to Coach Anwar, he said they will let me do a lot of things at the position.
“For me, being able to play my game a big thing. I am not a shot blocker on defense but I do like playing defense. I want a coach that will make me work and make me work for everything I get.”
On Wednesday, Mississippi State officially announced three 2025 signees in On3 four-star guard King Grace, On3 composite four-star forward Jamarion Davis-Fleming and On3 three-star wing Cameren Paul. Also, On3 three-star center Chol Machot is committed to the Bulldogs but is waiting to sign in the spring period next April.
