Mississippi State enters Saturday with a 4-3 overall record and a 1-3 SEC mark. The Bulldogs captured a 7-3 victory last weekend for their first SEC win of the season. The Tigers are 3-4 overall and 0-4 in the league, and they are currently on a four-game losing streak. Auburn has played better at home, of late, with close losses to top-ranked Georgia and last weekend to No. 11 Ole Miss.

For the Bulldogs, they got their share of traveling this month. State does, however, return to Davis Wade Stadium next weekend as three of the final four games will be in Starkville.

The Series

Auburn leads the all-time series 65-28-2 and the Tigers have also won 30 of the 38 meetings in Auburn. However, Mississippi State has won the last two meetings with Auburn and five of the last nine matchups, including a 39-33 overtime decision last season at Davis Wade Stadium.

INJURY REPORT

Mississippi State is expected to be without starting quarterback Will Rogers for the second straight week. Last weekend against Arkansas, Mike Wright started at quarterback for the first time as a Bulldog and that snapped a streak of 38 consecutive starts by Rogers.

Mississippi State running back Jo’quavious Marks will also be sidelined Saturday while sam linebacker Donterry is expected to be available to play today despite being shaken up last week against Arkansas.

Auburn will be without starting center Avery Jones with freshman Connor Lew expected to take his spot. Tew took over at center last week against Ole Miss after Jones was injured.
