WEEK 15 Mississippi State 2024 Commitments

East Mississippi Community College (10-2) 27, Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College 23 in NJCAA playoffs – East Mississippi DB Tyler Woodard had 11 tackles (six solos); season stats: 55 tackles (34 solos), five PBUs, one interception and 3.5 tackles for loss. East Mississippi DL Ashun Shepphard had five tackles (two solos), one sack, 1.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery; season stats: 32 tackles (17 solos), 7.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one quarterback hurry.

Copiah-Lincoln Community College (10-2) 28, Navarro (Texas) College 20 in Heart of Texas Bowl on Saturday – Copiah-Lincoln running back Johnnie Daniels had 15 rushes for 57 yards and one touchdown, one reception for four yards; season stats: 183 rushes for 1,253 yards and 15 touchdowns, 23 receptions for 209 yards and two touchdowns.

Winona High School (14-0) 34, Noxubee County High School 27 in Class 3A state championship game – Winona OL TJ Lockhart. Winona LB Fred Clark had one tackle (one solo), one PBU and two quarterback hurries; season stats: 68 tackles (31 solos), 11 tackles for loss, three sacks, one fumble caused, two PBUs, four quarterback hurries, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown).

Season ended

Hinds Community College (3-5) no postseason – Hinds linebacker Branden Jennings; season stats: 58 tackles (42 solos), 5.5 tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery.

Lausanne (Tenn.) Collegiate (9-2) advanced to second round of Division 2-AA playoffs – Lausanne OL/DL Luke Work; season stats: 20 tackles (14 solos), two sacks, two tackles for loss and one forced fumble. Also 1 of 1 passing for 51 yards and one touchdown.

North Panola High School (6-6) 20 advanced to second round of Class 3A playoffs – North Panola WR JJ Harrell; season stats: 18 of 21 passing for 578 yards and nine touchdowns, 42 rushes for 577 yards and nine touchdowns, 31 catches for 521 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Baker (Ala.) High School (8-3) advanced to first round of Class 7A playoffs – Baker QB Josh Flowers; season stats: 134 of 198 passing for 2,126 yards with 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions, 159 rushes for 1,435 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Vicksburg High School (7-4) advanced to first round of Class 5A playoffs – Vicksburg DE Tyler Carter; season stats: 72 tackles (43 solos), 11 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown, one quarterback hurry and four PBUs.

McAdory (Ala.) High School (6-5) advanced to first round of Class 6A playoffs – McAdory tight end JaCorey Whitted; season stats: 33 catches for 715 yards and 10 touchdowns.

IMG (Fla.) Academy (9-0) – IMG Academy OL Jimothy Lewis.

Brookhaven High School (8-5) advanced to second round of Class 5A playoffs – Brookhaven RB/DB Xavier Gayten; season stats: 218 carries for 2,042 yards and 25 touchdowns, nine catches for 38 yards and 1 of 1 passing for 27 yards and one touchdown. Also six kickoff returns for 308 yards and two touchdowns.

Holmes County Central High School (11-1) advanced to second round of Class 5A playoffs – Holmes County Central DL Terrance Hibbler; season stats: 96 tackles (57 solos), 30 tackles for loss, 23 sacks, two forced fumbles and nine quarterback hurries.

Week 15 Mississippi State 2025 Commitments

Winona High School 34, Noxubee County High School (10-5) 27 in Class 3A state championship game on Saturday – Noxubee County quarterback Kamario Taylor was 25 of 41 passing for 352 yards with three touchdowns, seven rushes for five yards; season stats: 210 of 351 passing for 3,594 yards with 43 touchdowns and five interceptions, 89 carries for 794 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Madison (Ala.) Academy (14-0) 48, Geraldine (Ala.) School 43 in Class 3A semifinals – Madison Academy linebacker AJ Rice had nine tackles (five solos) and 1.5 tackles for loss; season stats: 99 tackles (59 solos), 19 tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries returned for touchdowns.
