Going forward, each week, we will have a weekly report on both men and women’s Mississippi State basketball opponents and where fans can find the games on network television, streaming or otherwise. Mississippi State Men’s Hoops
Following arguably the Bulldogs’ best non-conference win over Rutgers during the holidays, Mississippi State will be celebrating New Year’s Eve with a game against Bethune Cookman at Humphrey Coliseum.
Don’t fret, though, as the game shouldn’t dampen the plans of any Bulldog fans with a 2:00 tipoff. The game will be broadcasted on the SEC Network +. With a win, MSU will have a five game win streak on their hands, but that’s far from the biggest storyline.
All-SEC center Tolu Smith has been cleared for full-contact practice for a few weeks now. The MSU staff don’t believe that conditioning will be much of an issue for Smith, either. That means all signs are pointing towards the long-time Bulldog forward making his return in Starkville on December 31 for a tuneup game ahead of conference play.

Chris Jans has his team at 10-2 ahead of Smith’s return, and although this means shorter minutes for players like Jimmy Bell and Keshawn Murphy, this is still a welcome sight for a team vying for a top-tier finish in the SEC.
Mississippi State Women’s Hoops
When it comes to running the gauntlet, the Mississippi State women’s hoops squad have done just that. They sit at 12-2 fresh off the biggest win to date of the season on the road against Colorado State.
The women will return to action before the men as they face off against Mississippi Valley State in a home bout on December 29. The game will be broadcasted on the SEC Network + with tipoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Lauren Park-Lane comes off a phenomenal three point showing against the Rams that earned her SEC player of the week honors while Mississippi State looks to do some fine tuning ahead of their conference opener against Vanderbilt on January 4.
