Weekly Report: Where to watch Mississippi State Hoops
This. Is. March. And both Mississippi State squads are still playing, albeit under very different circumstances.
Mississippi State Men’s Hoops
The Mississippi State men’s squad has made the big dance as an 8-seed, and is set to square off against the historically good-in-March Michigan State Spartans tomorrow.
This is not the Michigan State teams of old, though. The Spartans are 19-14 overall and went a dead even 10-10 in conference play. The Big10 is tough, no doubt, but it’s not where the fans of MSU (North) want to be.
Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo said it best when referencing the “football game” that will take place tomorrow, as both teams rely on their physicality to grind out wins. Currently, Mississippi State is a 1.5 point underdog in the matchup. The Bulldogs, though, are 8-1 on neutral floors.

The highly anticipated face off is scheduled to be aired tomorrow on CBS from Charlotte, North Carolina. Tip-off is at 11:15 a.m. CT.
Mississippi State Women’s Hoops with Fubo
The 2-seeded Mississippi State women are set to host the first round of the WBIT from Starkville the same day at 6:30 p.m. against 7-seeded Georgia Tech.
However, the Bulldogs will be without a key piece of depth. Nyayongah Gony, as announced by head coach Sam Purcell, will be leaving the program and electing not to compete in the postseason. The redshirt freshman played valuable reserve minutes for a squad that was already depleted in the frontcourt due to injury, and will force the starting forwards to eek out a few extra minutes in postseason play.
