3-star DL Josh Alexander-Felton signs with NC State
NC State football officially added a key defensive lineman to its 2024 class. Three-star defensive end Josh Alexander-Felton signed his national letter of intent Wednesday morning.
The Pack’s third and final defensive line commit of the 2024 class is joining the program after picking the Wolfpack over multiple other Power Five programs in August, including his home-city UCF Golden Knights. He visited NC State a few times this year and also put together an impressive senior season.
Defensive line coach Charley Wiles was his primary recruiter and prioritized the senior after offering March 8. He is the highest-ranked defensive lineman in the 2024 class.

How Josh Alexander-Felton ended up at NC State
NC State left a serious impression on Alexander-Felton during his first trip to Raleigh, a June official visit that set the tone of his recruitment. The Pack hosted him for two of his final three visits leading up to an August commitment announcement.

Before joining NC State’s 2024 class, he narrowed down his recruitment to the Pack, Georgia Tech, Maryland, UCF and Pittsburgh. He officially visited the Terrapins after spending a weekend with the Wolfpack, but that was not enough to swing the momentum of his recruitment.
Alexander-Felton originally planned on taking fall officials, but NC State’s staff wrapped up his recruitment before the end of the summer. He returned to campus to watch the Pack play UNC this fall.
Why Josh Alexander-Felton picked NC State
“It was my second time, and it felt like the first time, it was great,” Alexander-Felton said after his visit for the Alpha Wolf Showcase in July. “Great vibes, I felt comfortable actually… It’s a great environment and a good coaching staff.”
