3-star LB Joshua Ofor signs with NC State
NC State football received another important national letter of intent Wednesday morning from Joshua Ofor. The linebacker from Georgia made his commitment, and his plans to enroll early, official during early signing day.
After considering NC State, Ole Miss and others, Ofor shut down his recruitment this fall and joined the Wolfpack. He put up impressive numbers as a senior at Jonesboro (Ga.) Mundy’s Mill High, making plays all over the field.
Ofor is joining a relatively young linebacker room as one of five prep and junior college commits at the position. NC State is recruiting him to play WILL. Cracking the two-deep as a freshman will be tough, but he will have the opportunity to compete for a role next fall.

How Joshua Ofor ended up at NC State
NC State offered Ofor June 13 and quickly ramped up its interest from there, locking in a fall official visit with the priority linebacker. The Pack was the third Power Five school to offer him, and he also took an official visit to East Carolina before spending Sept. 8-10 in Raleigh. He knew the Pack was going to try and secure his commitment during his official visit weekend, and he was ready to join the class by the end of his first day on campus.
Why Joshua Ofor picked NC State
Academics were a major deciding factor in his recruitment. Ofor plans on majoring in exercise science.
“The internships you can get too, that really reeled me in,” Ofor said after his official visit.
