How Cedrick Bailey Jr. ended up at NC State
NC State offered Bailey Feb. 9 as quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper established his 2024 recruiting board, and the signal-caller quickly made a trip to Raleigh, stopping by campus in the spring and committing March 13. He officially visited the Pack June 16-18 and helped assemble the programs star-studded offensive class.
Miami made a hard push in his recruitment this fall as he led Chaminade-Madonna to an undefeated season, but the Wolfpack staff worked tirelessly to make sure he knew how important he was to the Pack. NC State assistant coaches Joker Phillips and Roper visited Bailey in consecutive weeks this year, and head coach Dave Doeren attended his state championship game.
With less than two weeks until signing day, he tweeted that his is locked in with the Wolfpack.
Why Cedrick Bailey Jr. picked NC State
Bailey shared that the Wolfpack’s consistency played a significant role in his decision making.
“That’s the biggest thing that led to me committing,” he said. “Then, when I came and took the visit, that sealed the deal. Those guys, they reach out to you, they love you.
“They love me, I love them too.”
