How Jimmar Boston ended up at NC State
Boston visited NC State for the first time during the July Alpha Wolf Showcase. He left campus that day with an offer and a solid impression of the school. Other schools recruited him as an athlete, while the Pack expressed interest in him playing strictly receiver. That helped make a difference in his recruitment, and the South Carolina prospect committed Sept. 5. Boston said he already had his mind made up as early as Aug. 7.
Why Jimmar Boston picked NC State
Boston has a very strong bond with Phillips.
“He was polite at first,” Boston said after committing to the Pack. “Now, he’s just like how you are with your best friend, more of a genuine relationship I guess…
“He’s a great coach. He has been coaching for a long time, and I feel like he knows talent when he sees it. And he doesn’t offer people without seeing them in person, which I appreciate as well.”
