NC State coach Dave Doeren has been busy since the Wolfpack’s Military Bowl loss to East Carolina on Saturday evening at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. He relieved Wolfpack offensive coordinator Robert Anae of his duties, promoting quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper in the process, while he also made defensive staff changes. Doeren, the Pack’s 12th-year coach, hired well-traveled defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot to replace Tony Gibson, who accepted Marshall’s head coaching position. In addition to a new defensive play-caller, the Wolfpack safeties coach Joe DeForest, while defensive backs coach Freddie Aughtry-Lindsay was named co-defensive coordinator and graduate assistant Elisha Shaw was promoted to a full-time role.
