A year after becoming a father, NC State LB Devon Betty has ‘special’ game to play at Clemson
As NC State graduate linebacker Devon Betty prepares to board the Wolfpack’s bus down to Clemson on Friday afternoon, he will have more than just the Tigers on his mind — it’s his daughter’s, Alora, first birthday. Betty, who missed an entire week’s worth of practice to be with his first child last fall, was bummed he was going to miss her party on Saturday as he takes on the No. 21 Tigers in Death Valley. “It’s special,” Betty said this week. “That’s something to play for this weekend. She’s going to be 1. It moves fast, man. I’m sad to be missing it, but it comes with the sport. It is special.”
