When it appeared NC State baseball was done recruiting for the 2025 season, a roster shake-up allowed the Wolfpack to add another junior college recruit over the weekend. The Pack, which lost the commitment from Campbell outfielder Dalen Thompson, added junior college standout Jet Gilliam in his place.  Thompson, who elected to return to the Camels for the 2025 season, was going to be a key player in the Wolfpack’s outfield competition. But now that he is no longer headed to Raleigh, NC State’s position battle will be very intriguing with a likely injection of youth as the Pack looks to build off its College World Series appearance.  NC State, however, has plenty of time to make a decision on who it wants to make its everyday outfield, which appears to be a brand-new trio patrolling the territory for the Wolfpack in 2025. Here’s a look at who will be competing for the Wolfpack’s starting outfield spots during fall ball. The players are organized alphabetically.
