BREAKING: 3-star DL Josiah Victor commits to NC State
Josiah Victor committed to NC State Sunday evening, a few weeks after the defensive lineman reopened his recruitment. He spent the past few months pledged to the Boston College before decommitting Nov. 10. He also held offers from Georgia and South Carolina.
NC State left a great impression on the 6-2, 270-pound defensive lineman from Loganville (Ga.) Grayson High. He stopped by Raleigh to watch the program’s win over Stanford and spoke positively of the trip. The staff offered the nose tackle prospect during his visit. Defensive line coach Charley Wiles is his primary recruiter.
“Coaches showing a lot of love, love the campus,” the defensive lineman said while on campus.
Victor was on one of the Pack’s visitors lists earlier in the year but had to reschedule that trip, instead choosing to spend the weekend of Nov. 2 with the program. He committed to Boston College in June over offers from Duke, Colorado and Arizona State.
This fall, he added scholarships from the Wolfpack, South Carolina and Georgia Tech as he put together a productive senior season. Other than his weekend with NC State, his only known official visits were trips to Liberty and Boston College in June.
The Wolfpack now holds four defensive line commits in its 2025 class— three-star prospects Colby Cronk, Omarian Abraham, AJ Prim and Victor.

In 11 games with reported stats, Victor recorded 42 total tackles (19 solo) and made 13 stops for loss to go along with 3 sacks and 10 quarterback hurries for one of Georgia’s powerhouse prep programs.
Going into the playoffs, the senior recorded a sack in consecutive games for a 12-1 football team. He looks like a fit for the nose tackle spot on NC State’s defensive line. Victor already plays that role for Grayson High.
The On3 Industry Ranking considers the nose tackle prospect the No. 166 defensive lineman in the country. He’s the No. 20 commit of the class.
