BREAKING: 3-star OT Brady Sakowitz commits to NC State
NC State landed the second commitment of its 2026 recruiting class Monday afternoon. Three-star offensive tackle Brady Sakowitz is running with the Pack after visiting the program for consecutive game days this fall.
The 6-7, 285-pound tackle from Richmond (Va.) Trinity Episcopal School picked NC State over offers from Miami, Virginia Tech, Maryland and many others. He stopped by Raleigh for both the Wake Forest and Syracuse games before announcing his decision shortly after that second trip.
“I really like the coaches and the way they coach,” Sakowitz said after the Wake Forest game. “It’s one of the best environments I’ve seen, and it’s overall one of my top schools!”
He announced the decision on social media. The three-star prospect also visited West Virginia, Virginia and Virginia Tech this fall.
Offensive line coach Garett Tujague was the lineman’s primary recruiter. He also visited NC State for the Alpha Wolf Showcase and again in June. Sakowitz’s first trip to campus was this spring, and he picked up an offer a day later.

Earlier this year, he spoke highly of Tujague, head coach Dave Doeren and the program overall.
“The coaching is definitely a big part of it,” Sakowitz said. “Coach Tujague and coach Doeren have done a great job with the program, and I think the best is yet to come with them. They’re building a great thing over there. It’s one of the best football programs that’s near my parents, my family, where I live.”
Sakowitz is the second commit in the Wolfpack’s 2026 class, joining three-star quarterback Jacob Smith. He is the second offensive lineman to commit to NC State in the past three days after four-star tackle Takhyian Whitset pledged to the Pack Saturday.
The On3 Industry Ranking considers Sakowitz the No. 37 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 15 recruit in Virginia’s junior class.
