Grayson Rigdon committed to NC State Monday morning, announcing his decision on social media less than a day after wrapping up his official visit. The three-star running back picked up an offer from the Pack Nov. 19 and has officially joined the 2025 class less than a week later.
NC State prioritized the Columbus (Texas) High standout in recent days and impressed him enough during the official visit to lead to this decision. He also held offers from Wyoming, North Texas and New Mexico and spent some time committed to Air Force earlier this year.
Standing 5-11, 185 pounds, Rigdon is the No. 45 athlete in the country according to On3 and the No. 229 senior in Texas. He is the third running back commit of the 2025 class, joining Kentrell Rinehart and RJ Boyd.
“They are building something special, and I will be a great piece to add!” Rigdon said after picking up his Wolfpack offer.

In the days leading into his visit, the running back said he could tell NC State’s coaching staff really wanted to build a genuine relationship with him. Running backs coach Todd Goebbel was his primary recruiter.
