BREAKING: 3-star S Terris Dudley commits to NC State
Terris Dudley committed to NC State football Tuesday afternoon, flipping from Toledo. The three-star safety pledged to the Wolfpack after an accelerated recruitment that included an official visit over the weekend.
NC State extended a scholarship to the safety Nov. 18, and he also held an offer from Houston. He spent last weekend in Raleigh and pledged to the program during that trip.
The newest Wolfpack commit announced his decision on social media. He informed TheWolfpacker.com that “the blue collar standard and the development side” of the program drew him to the program.
Dudley, a standout football and track athlete from Hilliard (Ohio) Bradley High, projects as a linebacker at the next level. He measured 6-3, 200 pounds during his Wolfpack official visit.
In addition to NC State, Toledo and Houston, Marshall, Buffalo, Western Michigan, Miami (Ohio), Bowling Green, Ohio, Akron, Kent State and Eastern Michigan all offered the versatile senior.

On3 thinks highly of Dudley and considers him the No. 57 safety prospect in the country and the No. 37 prospect in Ohio. The On3 Industry Ranking slots the Wolfpack commit at No. 1,243 nationally.
NC State’s 2025 class now ranks No. 38 nationally and No. 7 in the ACC. Dudley is the No. 16 out of state recruit to pledge to the program.
He’s the first linebacker commit of this cycle, and the program is continuing to recruit three-star South Alabama commit Tristan Jackson and three-star Purdue commit Kimar Nelson to join him in Raleigh.
Nelson would be an inside linebacker for NC State, while Dudley’s 6-3 frame and experience at safety suggests he will likely play outside linebacker in Raleigh.
