The former Virginia commit visited NC State in October, and quickly decided he wanted to run with the Pack on his official trip to Raleigh. Zachary enjoyed his trip to Carter-Finley Stadium for the Pack’s 48-41 win over Marshall, while he got to know Jonathan Paylor, another incoming freshman wide receiver.
Zachary also noted NC State wide receivers coach Joker Phillips’ ability to have a creative touch in practice, while he also allowed his players to be themselves on the field, which he liked.
Why Zachary picked NC State
“It doesn’t feel real because this has been a dream since I can remember,” Zachary said. “It’s a great feeling, it’s a lot to take in, but just know I’m ready to come in and make a big impact with the Wolfpack.”
“If you’re looking for a big play, you’re looking for me,” Zachary said. “I’m going to go get it.”
