Cory Durden, first-team All-ACC D-tackle, is returning to NC State football

NC State football learned Tuesday that redshirt junior nose tackle Cory Durden was a first-team All-ACC honoree.
It also learned that he is returning for another season at NC State.
Durden announced on Instagram his decision to come back for a second year with the Wolfpack after transferring from Florida State.
Durden took over as the starting nose tackle when redshirt freshman C.J. Clark went down with an injury three games into the season and flourished. He finished the year with 31 tackles, including 4.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks, and added seven quarterback hurries.
Durden was one of the higher graded players by Pro Football Focus (PFF) on the NC State football defense, scoring 68.6 for the season to rank ninth best among those with at least 100 snaps. PFF had Durden honorable mention on its All-ACC squad.
NC State football had previously learned that senior safety Cyrus Fagan, who transferred in with Durden from Florida State, was also returning for another year. Fagan was injured in week two of the season. He had nine tackles and a pick at the time of the injury.
