Exclusive: NC State coach Wes Moore opens up on transfer portal approach, challenges

As NC State men’s basketball rebuilt its entire team through the transfer portal with nine additions, the Wolfpack women’s program was just looking to bolster its roster through the NCAA’s open market.  But unlike Will Wade’s squad, women’s coach Wes Moore didn’t have as much success. It wasn’t for the lack of trying as NC State hosted several portal targets for official visits. Moore, the Wolfpack’s 13th-year coach, was honest in his self-reflection of his program’s foray into the transfer portal this offseason.
